Yeah, and the Original Chicago Things Shirt my family has this tradition where we open our gifts at midnight on Christmas Eve, so the actual day itself isn’t really that cool. We just eat a lot. This year is going to be different. Luckily we have everything we need and I am happy about that. Covid has shut us down so I have no idea what to do for presents. I think I will nix it all. The kids are young adults. My mom has gotten me the exact same pair of sweatpants two years in a row by accident. I like them but maybe this year she’ll get me a different color.

Honestly, it’s sort of the Original Chicago Things Shirts same as receiving a package in the mail. Watching the tracking updates, getting excited for the afternoon because that’s when the UPS guy shows up, and then as soon as you open the package…it’s done. I have a love/hate relationship with waiting for something exciting. I don’t celebrate Christmas but the season itself kinda excites me. But on Christmas itself, I always forget that it’s actually Christmas and remember it like halfway. And my reaction is usually “huh, well how bout that”. Maybe most of the excitement comes from no school.
