Yeah, I think that is the original. He posted the one in the op on his Twitter page. I think Nice Cthulhu 2020 No Lives Matter Shirt he was just having fun, he said it was an alternate dimension version. I saw it in theater and really liked it but none of the people I went with enjoyed it because they said it gave them anxiety lol. It has mixed reviews also but if you’re into Lovecraft type stuff you’ll probably like it. Edit: On a side note, if you like audiobooks I recommend the Oddjobs series. Very well narrated and a good laugh into the idea of Lovecraftian horrors dealing with British officials. Lovecraft is such a challenge to present visually when the meat of his writing is about “indescribable” horror. His dialogue and descriptions of the locale are great.

I think the reason we lack a good Cthulhu movie is the same reason we lack a good game, but we have good books and short stories, and decent Nice Cthulhu 2020 No Lives Matter Shirt table-top games. The kind of horror, the hopeless, mind-bending, indescribable horror, kind of falls flat in a visual moving medium. Another part might be that there are no ‘heroes’ in cosmic horror. Everyone dies or becomes incapacitated. You can’t win against something of this scale. You can’t create an indescribable horror that drives the characters mad by its sheer otherworldliness, and then have it flailing its tentacles around on the screen. Without heroes, you have lost most studio funding.

For me, the scariest things are the things we never fully see. Only glimpses. Remember how terrifying Signs is until you fully see it? Also, the concept of slowly slipping into Nice Cthulhu 2020 No Lives Matter Shirt madness is so terrifying because you can’t trust reality and wtf do you do then. It really is a challenge to present these mental horrors in a visual way that doesn’t break the mental immersion. And jumping from protagonist to protagonist as they struggle and die or succumb would be kind of a shell shocker that would leave the audience feeling cheated, which you don’t get hardly ever. It just seems there’s a big opportunity for it, but again, I guess that type of narrative doesn’t fit the safe blockbuster formula for the masses.
