In movies, dream sequences tell us what’s going on inside the character’s head. Why would Batman be dreaming this, and if he was, why would we need to know about it? Got it! Instead, it’s like… (1) what the fuck is happening? (2) oh, it’s a dream. (3) why are they showing me this weirdo dream? (4) why did they show me another weirdo dream? After coming out of the theatre, my friend asked, “Is Zack Snyder just scared of bugs or something?” That’s how confused we were.
