I’ve had jaw surgery, was wired shut and vomiting was one of the most common occurrences post-surgery (Since swallowing blood is inevitable). As the jaw is wired shut, you’ve gotta wait for the liquid to slowly drain off the side where there are little holes….As for the little chunks…. well you swallow them. It was hands down one of the most disgusting things that have ever happened, to me but she’s only taking liquid diet, all the vomit will have no chunks and there are gaps in the teeth. Can’t she just…squeeze it out with her tongue/cheek?

Like squirting between your teeth with water at siblings when you were a kid, but with vomit. She was so scared by it she slept in my bed for two days after. She puked in case it happened again. She also refused anything more than Tylenol after the vomit incident. Plus vomiting with a broken jaw must fucking HURT.so, I had my jaw wired shut for several weeks. No one gave me wire cutters or explained anything about committing to me.

It’s possible they did but I was so hopped up on morphine and oxy that I just plumb forgot. I never did vomit. I think these people might have had a better doctor than me.I’ve never had my mouth wired shut or anything, but I’ve always just sort of yawned through my nose. My body still wants to open its mouth but I just keep it shut. I’m going to have nightmares about this. Dentist here. Get a Waterpik. It’ll clean around the wires and in between your teeth. You’ll have to put effort into it. Good luck. Keep your wire cutters handy in case you vomit.
