Cheaper fireworks, cheaper booze, and it is a great Nice Chicago Cubs Bulls Bears Blackhawks White Sox Shirt place to go be a filthy slob of a human being who drowns in their own gluttony before sliding back into a normal suit back in a normal society. Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco) has cheap fireworks, cheap booze, cheap food, and cheap beach houses on a very nice beach to rent. Last I checked (a few years ago) you could rent a reasonably nice house in Las Conchas for $200 a night. (Might be more on a holiday weekend, but still a LOT less than it would cost for a house in, say, San Diego.)

TBF, I’ve never had any issues with the cops in Rocky Point — but I’m usually minding my own business, and not doing drugs. The Party scene is not my thing. Love the beaches there, though, and the Nice Chicago Cubs Bulls Bears Blackhawks White Sox Shirt fishing is amazing. I honestly wouldn’t even know what the going rate was for a bribe. I had a Mexican friend who advised me to carry some $20s in my pocket (not my wallet) and, if necessary, ask if I could “pay a fine right now” to the cop if I ever did have an issue.
