Yeah, I work at a hotel and was about to quit because they weren’t forcing anybody but employees to wear masks. It just Dearly Beloved We Are Gathered Here Today To Get Through This Things Called Life Prince Moon Shirt wasn’t safe with all of the tourists we have from all over the country coming to stay here. We had like a dozen employees get corona and now everyone is required to wear a mask. It makes me really mad that a dozen of my coworkers had to get sick for our management to take it seriously. The majority of our staff are older black women, who are in that high-risk group. They should have been taking it seriously from the very beginning.

In my opinion, considering our demographics and what our jobs are. Unfortunately, there is going to be a lot of workers who already have it tough getting more abuse. Our customers have some of the filthiest habits and lack of common sense that I have ever seen. We already get screamed at, spit on, hit, threatened, etc. A user on this thread wisely pointed out that Walmart can afford to hire security. That needs to happen at all stores. Whether Walmart will do this is anyone’s guess. I will even be very surprised if my store enforces the masks. I expect to see them dangling off chins, as I see on many co-workers. I’m in a small town that probably has like 50% of people wearing masks when in Walmart, so I expect mine to not enforce this at all.
