I still don’t understand why they have to Awesome I’m With Hello My Name Is Karen T-Shirt leave home at 18. That is stupid, but different cultures. Because the US is an incredibly individualistic society, and people are expected to “make their own way”. Same as any other culture by now, it doesn’t have to make any sense, it’s just the way it is. Way too many young adults are also opposed to roommates. Living with roommates around 20 years old teaches you a lot about yourself, communication, budgeting for rent. The list goes on. You can get a room in most places for around $500 it there’s multiple roommates.
